Hi, my collie Gwyn and I love nothing more than exploring the countryside, rolling in the dirt, and making friends with new dogs! As a former Royal Marine, I bring a wealth of outdoor expertise to every adventure, equipped to handle the toughest terrains and weather conditions. Mud, water, sand, or snow, I'm at home in the great outdoors, so think of me as your four-legged friend's guide, taking them on exciting excursions. They'll be barking about it for days!
Safety is always my top priority. With years of experience as a Health and Safety professional after gaining my NEBOSH General Certificate, I have a sharp eye for potential hazards.

Most recently I gained the Ofqual Level 3 award in - Canine Care, Behaviour & Welfare, enabling me to offer a holistic service from door to moor and everywhere in between.
​
Aside from these core skills, my knowledge and experience of life in general range from humble and honest, to the bizarre and extreme! There are too many to list here but these eclectic adventures have taken me all over the world and left me yearning to be outdoors, which has led me to create Dog Odyssey, your K9's answer to their subdued inner wolf.

Help lighten your load and bring elation to your beloved canine companion with a wild adventure in one of Devon’s most idyllic locations. Sometimes it’s a coastal hike and other times it’s a forage through a woodland. A lot of my trips will entail sandy paws and salty whiskers with a fun time on one of our stunning beaches. Wagging tails are guaranteed.

1 or 2-hour adventure walk

Collection and drop off within 10 miles of Barnstaple. (Outside this distance may incur an additional fee)

Photographs and updates are sent via WhatsApp or other means.

Pooch returned washed down and towel dried.
20% off per additional dog from the same household.
*Please note that it may take up to 1 hour to reach our hiking spot, so please consider your furball may be away from home for up to 4 hours for their trip out.

A free meet-and-greet will need to be conducted before any bookings and all relevant paperwork will need to be completed.

Full day £30 8:30am to 16:30pm roughly. Includes as above.

A warm and safe overnight stay in my fully certified home. They’ll be pampered and given lots of affection, they even get a choice of having their own room if they like a bit of quiet when they sleep…or if they’re more sociable they can bunk with our furry co-host Gwyn (our Collie).

Includes:

A licensed and well-maintained home full of cuddles and belly rubs. Our home is small but cosy and safe.

At least 2 walks. (Minimum 2+ hours per 24hr period)

Collection and drop off within 5 miles of Barnstaple

All your dog's usual routine is maintained no matter what the hour of day. (If they are used to a 5 am breakfast then that's what they'll get)

Extra cuddles and belly rubs to comfort them while they're missing their parents.

Never left unattended unless in the vehicle when collecting additional dogs on walks.

£20 for an additional dog from the same home. (Currently 2 total max)

For peace of mind, we also have our local veterinary hospital close to our home which has 24hr emergency cover.

Want your 4 legged family member present on the big day?
There are many complications which may mean you're not able to have your best friend/s at the venue, or at least not for all of it, such as venue rules, or simply nobody spare to look after them. Let me take the hassle out of the equation as I can either bring them to your venue just in time for the all-important photos, or I can stay for several hours before during, and after the ceremony. I can keep them occupied but close by for when the times right as you may have several opportunities to hang out with your best friend/s.
Please note that travel time to and from the venue will be added to the time spent on site.

Get a snazzy snap of your pooch in their element, rolling around in the mud or zooming along the beach.
Camera phones are very impressive these days but the problems come when you want to print out a large copy of your K9's acrobatics to hang on the wall. Phone cameras just don't cut it.
Thanks to 'North Devon - Business Boost 2 - UK Prosperity Fund' Dog Odyssey is able to invest in some 'proper' camera equipment!
